Math:  Began Dividing Decimals 2-7 (Will finish Friday).  Mountain Math handed out (must be done in class, due Friday). 

 

Science:  Finished Bacteria questions, took notes on important things about bacteria.

Math:  Multiplying Decimals 2-6.  Both sides, ALL. 

 

Science:  Bacteria.  Reading and Questions.

Math:  Math Test.  No homework. 

 

Science:  Funguslike Protists:  Reading and Answer questions.  Most students finished this in class.  Also took notes comparing all 3 types of protists. 

 

 

Wed.  Sept. 29, 2010 (substitute ½ day)

Math:  Math Review.  TEST ON THURSDAY.  Students should be working on their study guide at home.   

 

Science:  Animallike Protists:  Reading and Answer questions.  Most students finished this in class. 

 

Tues.  Sept. 28, 2010 (substitute ½ day)

Math:  Plotting Points, Fruit Salad, and Bar Graphs.  Most students finished this in class. 

 

Science:  Watched more of Disney’s “Earth” – We are almost done with it!! No homework. 

 

Mon. Sept. 27, 2010 (substitute all day)

Math:  Math Riddle and Comic Strip Math.  Most students finished this in class. 

 

Science:  Plantlike Protists:  Reading and Answer questions.  Most students finished this in class.

Tues. Sept. 21, 2010

Math:  Metric Measurement 10-2.  Both sides, ODD only. 

 

Science:  Completed a “Microorganism Glossary”.  No Homework, but you can ask your child what a cilia, flagella, and pseudopodia are J 

 

 

Mon. Sept. 20, 2010

Math:  Began metric measurement by learning about King Henry and his chocolate milk (ask your child what that means!!).  No “homework”, BUT many students do need to retake the math quiz from Friday.  This is homework and is due on TUESDAY!

 

Science:  Made a 3-D model of a cell.  All work was required to be done in class.  No Homework.

Math:  "Tongue Twister Measurement" - for extra tickets only, no homework.  **Today during math we discussed personal responsibility and respect for others. 

 

Science:  Finished "Cells" notes.  Draw, color, and label all parts of a cell.  This is homework if not finished in class.

 

Wed. Sept. 15, 2010

Math:  Customary Measurement 10-1:  R & P Sides, ALL.

 

Science:  "Cells" introduction.  We discussed cell parts and their functions.  No Homework!

 

Tues. Sept. 14, 2010

Math:  Plotting Points (graphing): "New Deli" & "Favorite Pet" - students who did not finish in class will need to finish this as homework.  

 

Science:  Watched parts of "Planet Earth".  No Homework. Quizzes were handed back today, students do have the opportunity to retake the quiz for partial credit. Please contact me to set up a time to do this.
